Concerned Parent
I love my father to death- but he worries too much! He had my mom call me today to warn me that the roads are closed clear to the Kansas border because of the blizzard. Don't get me wrong- it's nice that he's concerned, but we aren't leaving until Saturday morning for our drive east. And it is supposed to get into the forties here tomorrow. Translation- major melting! The Highway is already pretty melted in places, so by tomorrow afternoon it will be clear. I understand that we are his kids, but he overdoes it, and has actually made himself sick by all the worrying he does. What to do? Love him and smile! :-)
SNOW!!!
It snowed here a whole lot yesterday- and now its snowing again! I'm sure we got a foot or more of snow yesterday. Colorado blizzards are like that! At least I only live a few blocks from work, so I don't have far to drive. Hopefully there won't be any more accumulation with the snow that's falling now, I want to get to Kansas for Christmas! (we are celebrating with my fiance's family who lives near Wichita). We are hopefully leaving Saturday morning to drive the six hours to get there. I am thankful it is not more than that, but I can't wait!!! :-)

My Mom
Update on my mom. Docotr called Thursday to say she thinks she got all the cancer- it hadn't spread and was non-invasive. She still wants my mom to go through the radiation as a precaution, but no chemo! Thank GOD! He blessed us with catching this so early, and now it will be just a small blip in the road of life instead of a huge road block. I am all for yearly screenings, and will continue to go for all of mine. It helps to catch things early!
Be Bold
Be Bold...
What things have you done? Feel free to try this one yourself. Just BOLD the items you've done before, and post it to your own blog, or email it to everyone you know... or...on my blog it's really hard to tell if it's bold or not, so I'm going to put an * before the items I've done...

Cancer
Cancer is such a scary word. My mom had to have a lumpectomy yesterday for the starting of Breast Cancer. The doctor is very optimistic that they caught it very early, the only way we caught it so early was through her yearly mamogram. None of the doctors she has seen since the diagnosis have been able to feel it in her breast- they just saw it on the films. They are pretty sure they got all the cancer out between the biopsy and the surgery yesterday, but as a precaution, she is going to have to have 5 1/2 weeks of radiation starting sometime in January. I pray it doesn't totally wipe her out- she is still going to work, and still wants to help me with making my wedding dress. (I am getting married April 14,2007) The Lord is good- He'll work it out.

Title Explain
Let me explain my title. I chose 'I love "bugs"' because both of my neices have nickmanes with the word "bug" in them, Bug-a-boo and Tater-Bug, and I LOVE my neices- so I love "Bugs"! We are teasing that the next one (which will be here in April/May) has to have a nickname with bug in it too. We wanted a "June bug" but a month too early-we still have time to think of something!
